Hello everyone!
Here to upload some photos about the 'Speaking With Confidence' workshop that the MRL club had organized for some selected student librarians which is held on 31st January.

The trainer, who is from Singapore Polytechnic, is here to teach us some tricks about giving a good and memorable presentaion, as well as to speak well and fluently with confidence in front of people.

Librarians are to speak in front of their friends and the other fellow librarians such that they must very familiar with the topic that they are going to discussed about, and, of course, no looking down on the paper - they must faced the audience, which is somehow.. a difficult task for them to accomplish.. >.<

MAZRI!! ;D
noticed that countdown timer on the screen?
Well, the presenters need to say their speech in about 5 mins time, i suppose.

After these 2 sessions of workshop, it seems like speaking fluently and confidently in front of people is an easy task. The trainer had also taught us some really 'easy-to-memorise' acronyms such as K.I.S.S. - Keep It Short And Simple (Presentation) and P.O.P -Put on the thinking cap/ Own/your own stuff/ Practise Makes Perfect!..etc. I also enjoyed the presentation FEAR FACTORS, which are some limiting factors that are obstructing the students from speaking fluently and confidently, e.g. fear of crowds. So, get on to your foot and start speaking with confidence now!
